It’s no secret to anyone in the longevity space, the future is in the home. It’s where 9 out of 10 older adults want to age. It’s where an estimated $265 billion of care will be delivered by 2029. Healthcare companies know that bringing care to the home improves outcomes. Yet, the shortage of healthcare workers across the care continuum is dire and getting worse. According to a William Blair survey, one fifth of all nurses plan to retire in the next five years (not surprising given the strain from the pandemic coupled with the fact that over 20% of them are over age 60). At the lower acuity end of the spectrum, home care companies are facing a crisis between the increasing demand and the astounding 80% turnover. They will need to fill 7.4 million jobs over the next 8 years. And while the move to telehealth and virtual solutions help, they still come up short.
Naborforce has unlocked the key to the home; we are in homes every day. We provide light assistance that enables aging in place. We improve healthcare outcomes by getting clients to medical appointments and by addressing social isolation and other social determinants of health. We facilitate telehealth and help bridge the digital divide.
But, Naborforce is not a healthcare company. We are a community-based solution that is filling the gap at the very front end of the care continuum that home care and healthcare cannot. By leveraging the strength of community we are leading the charge of the future in the home.
